TLF
I started taking photography serious about 4-5 years ago as digital cameras started to hit the shelves. At that time, I was laid off and spent about 3 months on unemployment. During these 3 months, in between interviewing for other jobs, I hiked alot and took along my shiny new point and shoot 3.1 megapixel camera. Over the course of those months, I created a few images to be proud of, and created the first version of The Lens Flare to show them off to friends and family. The site was created so that I could easily add new images (it automatically resized them and put them in the right folders). Pretty soon, I was asked by other people if they could have their images on there too, and the 2nd version of TLF was born. Now there are around 800 photographers, 30,000 or so images, & 1000-1200 or so daily visitors.
Not too shabby... why don't you take a peek? It's at http://www.thelensflare.com.
